Project Management Association of Japan

The Project Management Association of Japan (PMAJ)[1][2] is an organization that was established through the integration of the Specified Nonprofit Corporation Project Management Certification Center (abbreviated as PMCC), which changed its name after receiving certification from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on October 5, 2005, and the voluntary organization Japan Project Management Forum (abbreviated as JPMF) affiliated with the Engineering Promotion Association (abbreviated as ENAA) Foundation Headquarters.[3][4]

The association focuses on the research and promotion of project management (PM) centered around Draft:P2M.

Main activities

  • Implementation of exams and certification related to P2M qualifications.
  • Research and dissemination of PM knowledge through holding events such as the PM Symposium (an annual event with approximately 2,000 participants),[5] monthly study meetings, and various workshops.
  • Revision and publication of the P2M Standard Guidebook, which is based on the theoretical research and systematization of P2M.[6]
  • Exchange of PM knowledge with major international organizations related to PM (such as PMI and IPMA).
