PromoTix is a U.S. Virgin Islands-based event management software company. PromoTix provides event Ticket (admission) software, event marketing, and event streaming media services. The company's website allows users to browse, create, promote, and stream events, both in-person and virtually. The company provides free digital ticketing services to event organizers and attendees. The company charges a fee to event organizers in exchange for marketing and video streaming services, as well as to sponsors that help monetize their free ticketing platform.[1]
HISTORY
The software was originally created by William R Royall Jr. (CEO) in 2017 as a marketing tool. William Royall was the owner of Backwoods Music Festival in Ozark, Arkansas[2] and Venue 578 in Orlando, Florida at the time[3], and developed the marketing software originally for his own companies.[4] After implementing the software with his own companies, he started PromoJuice Corp. as a Delaware based company. The company officially launched in 2018 with only the paid marketing software product "PromoJuice" available at the time.[5] PromoJuice Corp. received seed funding in September of 2019.[6]
The company moved in 2019 to Christiansted, St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and joined Accelerate VI, a tech accelerator affiliated with the University of the Virgin Island's RT Park program[7][8], and re-registered as PromoTix, Inc. in December of 2019 in preparation to launch their free ticketing product on April 20th, of 2020.[9] In July of 2020, after the COVID-19 Pandemic had shut down in-person events across the country[10], PromoTix launched their third product PromoStream, a live streaming product for virtual events to help organizers take their events online.[11]
