Promontory Marina Estacada
Promontory Marina and Park Estacada is located 7 miles east of Estacada, Oregon at 40500 E. Highway 224 Estacada, OR 97023. The Marina provides access to the 350 acre North Fork reservoir located behind the North Fork Dam on the Clackamas River.
History
The Marina was established shortly after the North Fork Reservoir was created as a result of the North Fork Dam completion in 1958. Owned and operated by Portland General Electric it is the last dam built on the Clackamas River.[1]

Nearby dams are the River Mill, North Fork, and the Faraday Dams owned and operated by Portland General Electric. North Fork Dam was completed in 1958, River Mill Dam was operational starting in 1911, Faraday Dam[2]was completed in 1907.
Recreation area
The Marina provides boat ramps, fishing docks, picnic tables, a day use area, and boat slips. The convenience store located next to the Marina provides fuel, boat moorings and boat rentals, fishing tackle, firewood, camping items, food and beverages. Next to the Marina is Promontory Park Campground and hiking trails.[3]
Fishing
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife stocks the North Fork Reservoir with rainbows and North Fork open season starts in May through the end of October.[4]
In the news
May 2020 - Promontory marina and park have been closed since March 23, 2020 and were set to reopen May 22, 2020. PGE asked people to practice social distancing.[5]
March 2016 - Promontory marina and park received some upgrades that included a bigger marina with new docks, more wheelchair ramps, and more campsites with power hookups.[6]
May 2016 - Promontory marina and park reopened with an updated boat ramp after two years of being closed for PGE to meet federal mandates for salmon and steelhead.[7]
