Provisional Government of Bangladesh – Yugoslavia (1971–1992) relations

Both countries established diplomatic relations on the 22nd of January in 1972[1] Relations between Yugoslavia and Bangladesh were officially established in 1971, immediately after the independence of Bangladesh.[2] This has continued to present with Serbia, since 2006 being the Successor state to Yugoslavia after Balkanisation, like itself from the parent state of defunct East Pakistan respectively. Serbia does not have a resident ambassador in Bangladesh, only an honorary consul.[3][4] Bangladesh has a non resident embassy in Rome.
