Pseudo-Intellectualism

Pseudo-intellectualism refers to the use of complex or obscure language and superficial intellectual references to create an appearance of depth, insight, or expertise, rather than to communicate substantive ideas.
Characteristics
Pseudo-intelectualism has general characteristics one can spot:
- It doesn't care about truth or falsehood in any way, it only attempts to deceive
- It uses wording that is misleading
- It often only goes so deep to answer the "what?" instead of the "why?"
