From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Udi Sternberg a.k.a Psysex/Goblin is a unique and original Psytrance artist who was captivated by music from a young age. He considers himself an organic artist, and this is reflected in his lifestyle and in the way he produces his music.

His musical journey began during the bloom of the trance scene in the early '90s; he started DJing at home and by the age of 16, he was raising the level of Electronic music in Tel Aviv's club scene. When he was 18, he built his first studio. After a recurrent encounter with the error message: “Sysex error code”, Udi followed this studio guidance and adopted the name Psysex. It was at this moment in his life that his relationship with the musical world truly began.

His first works to hit the shelves were: "4 Days of Madness" and "Alien cop". While being influenced by trance and electronic music projects such as Union Jack, Oforia, Etnica, X-Dream, GMS, Kraftwerk and lots of electronic mainstream and underground music from the late 80’s.

At 18, after making some tracks with his friend Yoni Oshrat under the name Children of the Doc, they decided to use the name Psysex instead and release their first studio album: "Expressions of Rage" that included a track with “Yahel”, remixes for “Power Source and Xerox” and Children of the Doc–Bionic Bong as a bonus track. The awareness for Psysex rose after the release of the album; this release was followed by “Hardcore Blastoff” featuring tracks like "Dirty ´80s" with Duvdev of Infected Mushroom, "Dominatrix", "Little Black hole with Panick and “Imprint” With Bansi (G.M.S). During this period Udi kept exploring new musical possibilities and was involved in a lot of musical projects. Soon after this release, tracks from the album won a big reputation among DJs and Psytrance lovers across the globe.

In 2003 Udi and Yoni released “Come in peace”, their last studio album together. The classic sci-fi concept of the album cover was made especially for the album by Lior Molcho; musically, tracks such as “new wave hooker”, “altered states” and ”soda pop” were ahead of their time. This made havoc in the scene and had a huge effect on the psychedelic trance culture.

After years of intense touring Yoni and Udi had a hard time finding time to work in the studio together. In 2005, they made one last release: “Remixed”. This album features remixes of some of the most famous Psysex tracks up until then.

They both continued to work on music on their own and exploring new paths. Udi continued the psychedelic legacy of Psysex and kept on performing in many festivals around the globe like Tribe in Brazil, Boom in Portugal, Cosmic Convergence in Guatemala or Zoom in Switzerland, just to name a few.

In 2007 Udi returned to real work in the studio and in 2008 Psysex released the album: "Healing". Soon after this album was released, Udi decided to dedicate time to contemplate life and rethink both his inner-self and his music. He decided to go to the high mountains of the Himalaya. In this time, he completed another masterpiece, the album "Mind Penetration" that was released in 2014. These days, Udi lives a healthy lifestyle, taking care of what comes into his body; he still prefers to use analog synthesizers/equipment and live musicians when recording.

In 2013 he founded Egohunter Recordings, a record label with over 20 releases. He is currently celebrating 20 years as Psysex, producing new music. Psysex recently released new singles and E. P’s such as “Power of The Universe Feat Arara” and “Play the Drum” with Illumination. Apart from Psysex’s releases, he has been involved in other projects such as Bio Babas, Doctor Goblin and Karius ve Baktus.

Udi is in the final stages of finalizing the new Psysex album that will be released in late 2019.
