"Psywar" is a single by Norwegian black metal band Mayhem. The song was released on 25 April 2014 through Season of Mist and served as a teaser for their fifth full-length album, Esoteric Warfare.[1] It contains two songs: one of them, the eponymous "Psywar", would ultimately appear on Esoteric Warfare, while the second one, "From Beyond the Event Horizon", is a previously unreleased track recorded in 2012. The band released a video for the song.[2]
The song's name is a colloquial abbreviation of the term "psychological warfare".[3]
