Public Health Engineering (PHE) is part of Environmental engineering under Civil engineering which focuses on Public health and Environmental health. Public health engineers use tools at their disposal to design systems and develop policies and procedures that help prevent others from being sick or injured. They also deal with water supply and sanitation. Sometimes it becomes different from sanitary engineering due to public concern views and purposes. Given the nature of their work, many public health engineers are employed in government agencies. Some also work in the private sector in consulting companies.
