A puligoru necklace

A puligoru (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.) is a traditional Telugu pendant necklace worn by men on special occasions including festivals, ceremonies, and weddings. The word "puligoru" is a compound term derived from the Telugu words పులి puli, meaning "tiger," and గోరు gōru, which means "nail" or "claw." It consists of a tiger claw set in gold, worn as a pendant on a chain of gold or pearls. The puligoru symbolizes masculinity and valor, since the necklace implies the wearer defeated a tiger and wears the claw as a trophy, since real claws were used for the necklace in the past.[1] In the present-day, the "claw" is made out of articficial materials.
