Pure Pet Food
Pure Pet Food is a Yorkshire, England based pet food manufacturer specialising in dehydrated and freeze-dried pet foods, launched in August 2013.[1]. The company was founded by Daniel Valdur Eha and Mathew Cockroft with investment in 2016 from Pets At Home[2] and in 2019 by NVM Private Equity[3]
History
In August 2013 the company was launched. From 2013 to 2014 the company recorded turnover of £35,000 after deals with more than 100 specialist pet stores across the UK.[4] The company also won the Pet Product Innovation of the Year award by PetQuip.[5]
In March 2014 the company saw a first quarter direct sales growth of over 300%.[6]
In July of 2014 the company was featured on Dragons Den, a reality television program format in which entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of venture capitalists in the hope of securing investment finance from them[4][7][8][9]. Off the back of this, Pure Pet Food products started to be stocked in the largest UK pet supplies retailer, Pets at Home.[2]
October 2014 saw the business win a Lloyds Bank and Bank of Scotland Enterprise Awards for Best Start-up.[10]
In 2017, the business received a royal visit from Anne, Princess Royal.[11][12][13]
The company won the Innovation at TheBusinessDesk.com's 2018 Business Masters Awards.[14]
In March 2019 the company won a Shooting Stars award from Huddersfield Town A.F.C..[15]
