Puthalath Dinesan (born 31 December 1969) is an Indian politician from Kerala who is current Political Secretary to Chief minister of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan. He is a member of the Communist Party of India(Marxist) Kerala State committee.[1]
Early life and Education[edit]
Dinesan was born on 31 December 1969 in Memunda, Vatakara as youngest son of TH Kunjiraman Nambair And Devi Amma.[2] His father TH Kunjiraman Nambiar was a famous folklore artist who won Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy Award for his contribution towards folklore. Dinesan did his early education from Memunda Higher Secondary School, Vatakara, He did his post graduation in Malayalam(MA Malayalam) from the University of Calicut Campus,He also holds a B.Ed and completed his LL.B from Kerala Law Academy, Thiruvananthapuram.
Political Career[edit]
Puthalath Dinesan entered politics through the Students' Federation of India[3]. He went on to become the state president of the Students' Federation of India for two years in 2000 and 2001[4]. He also became all-India Vice President of the Students' Federation of India. He also was General Secretary of Calicut University Union.He was editor of Student Monthly of SFI "Student".He is faculty In E M S Academy [5][6],He is also editor of Marxist Samvadam (മാര്ക്സിസ്റ്റ് സംവാദം) .He became a Communist Party of India(Marxist) State Committee member[1] in 2015[7].He became political secretary to the Chief Minister of Kerala when Pinarayi Vijayan assumed office in 2016.

He is married to Yamuna Keeneri, a doctor by profession, and has two children, Rosa And Azad.
