Pyronano

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

A Pyronano is a member of a fictional artificial race that consists of a hive mind made of giant, four armed, burning, humanoid robots. This race first appeared in Livewires, a six issue comic book limited series published in 2005 by Marvel Comics.

Fictional history[edit]

The Pyronanos existence began in the laboratories of a company named Thermogentech. This research company was in reality a front for a black op whose mission was to create weapons using cell samples secretly extracted from the original Human Torch.

Whether or not a sentient hive mind was something the scientists of Thermogentech intended to create will never be known. As soon as the hive mind formed, the Pyronanos rebelled and killed most of those directly involved in their creation. From this point the hive mind began to use materials around them to construct a fusion cannon. The purpose of this cannon was to spread seeds of themselves in order to create new hives as a means of procreation.

This might have succeeded if it were not for the arrival of another black op codenamed Project Livewire. Project Livewire's mission is to destroy other black ops on a list given to them and Thermogentech was their next target. After a lengthy fight the cannon was destroyed, along with both the Pyronanos and the Thermogentech facility.

This could have been the end of the Pyronanos for good if it weren't for the fact that Project Livewire took the Pyronano designs from Thermogentech's computers before their destruction. In last-ditch plan to destroy Project Livewire's biggest target a new type of Pyronano was created. These Pyronanos were designed to run even hotter than the originals. The heat would build up to a point that they would self-destruct and take the targets with them in the resulting explosion.

The plan worked very well and could be used in the future if the characters from Livewires ever appear again.
