The QC Royals (abbreviation: QCR) are an unofficial supporters' group of Charlotte FC and Stumptown AC.[1] Founded in 2015 by a group of fans from Charlotte, North Carolina, the group set out to "focus on creating an environment that values fun, camaraderie, hospitality, and community involvement," for supporters of Charlotte FC and Stumptown AC. The group's core values are friendship, inclusion, support and philanthropy.[2]

They are now found at every Stumptown AC game and plan to attend every Charlotte FC game as well once that team begins play in the MLS in 2022. The group can be readily identified by their teal and purple membership shirts, QC Royals scarves and bandanas, and are most often located next to one of the stadiums goals with their banners. They are frequently accompanied by a drum corp.

The group's motto "[w]e're here because we're here," "is a statement of the hope and unity that can be found within the uncertainty," and is borrowed from the young adult author John Green. Green states that the phrase, "mean[s] that we are together, and not alone. And it’s also a statement that we are, that we exist, and it’s a statement that we are here, that a series of astonishing unlikelihoods has made us possible and here possible. We might never know why we are here, but we can still proclaim in hope that we are here. I don’t think such hope is foolish or idealistic or misguided. I believe that hope is, for lack of a better word, true."[3]
