Qi Zhuo is a Chinese artist born on December 1, 1985, in Fuxin, Liaoning province. He lives and works between Paris and Beijing.

In 2016, he was awarded the residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris[1].

As an artist, Qi Zhuo's approach is based on the concept of cultural clash. The encounter between his Chinese culture and Western culture is a fundamental element of his work, encompassing linguistic and historical aspects, as well as the tradition and techniques of ceramics that he learned at ENSA Limoges[2].

Originally from the city of Fuxin in China, he regularly visits Jingdezhen, a city considered the global capital of porcelain. He finds a part of his raw materials in the waste of this industry. The artist takes on the task of restoring them through various processes by reworking ceramics or combining them with glass.
