QuJiang Ocean World

Opened in February 2005, located in the center of QuJiang new district, covering an area of 500,940 square feet. Qujiang Ocean World of Xi'an mainly consists of several different attractions.

One of China’s largest ocean theme parks, with multiple features including polar ocean experience, leisure and entertainment, science education, etc. Qujiang Ocean World is a modernized education base for ocean science and technology, a window for connection between human and nature, and a bridge for people to get knowledge of ocean.

Aquarium[edit]

Central part of the Ocean Park. The aquarium is one of the most attractive components of Qujiang Ocean World and internally holds 6,000 tons of water, 300 species of fresh and sea water organism over 12,000. Visitors will learn knowledge from professional guides, and observe the growth and developmental events of sea creatures.

Tropical Rain Forest[edit]

The Tropical Rain Forest Hall, based on the growing habits and dwelling environments of tropical plants and creatures. Experts created this rain forest by using not only plants and creatures, but also the sounds and lighting from woods, streams, crawling snakes, lightning displaying in backgrounds.

Underwater Channel[edit]

The 80 meter long (about 2,625 feet) underwater tunnel collects over 90 types of sea species from all over the world, with total amounts exceeding 5,000. In addition to marine lives, there are also freshwater ornamental fishes.

Polar Museum[edit]

Located next to the Aquarium, opened on February 5, 2013. Mainly consists of Polar Science & Experience Zone, Penguin Island, Polar Bear Zone, White Whale House, and Happy Performance Theater. It exhibits the living habits of polar ocean creatures from different angles and in various ways.
