Quadoa Optical CAD - Optical Design Software

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Quadoa Optical CAD is a new optical design software for the complete prototyping process of optical systems, distributed by the Quadoa Optical Systems GmbH.

With a focus on optical simulation, analysis and optimization of optical systems, Quadoa Optical CAD features a wide range of comprehensive optical design capabilities.

The modern object-based approach enables a hierarchical modular structure arrangement, as is also known from modern mechanical CAD applications. Elements and assemblies significantly simplify the handling and maintenance of complex optical systems compared to the classic surface list-based approach. Thanks to the modular combination of surface properties, an unprecedented variety of surface types can be specified.

In addition to typical sequential raytracing, Quadoa is able to perform a new type of multi-sequential raytracing. This opens up a completely new range of design options and analysis functions. For example, multi-path systems can be implemented easily and intuitively, or real-time reflection analyses can be simulated parallel in the design process.

Due to the fully bi-directional interchangeability with mechanical CAD software, the development of integrated opto-mechanical systems is greatly simplified.
