Quantum is a 'Magic Carpet' ride located at Thorpe Park, an amusement park in Chertsey, Surrey, United Kingdom. It opened to guests in 2003 in the 'Lost City' section of the park, where it has remained since.

Ride experience[edit]
Riders board the Aztec-themed magic carpet consisting of 10 rows of seating - 5 rows either side of a large, centrally-positioned golden orb with the two sets of five rows facing opposite each other. The ride increases and decreases its height in a circular motion - swaying forwards and backwards. Several times during the experience, the carpet makes a full rotation. The ride reaches a maximum height of 39ft.[1]
