Queen & Slim

Queen & Slim is an upcoming American drama thriller film directed by Melina Matsoukas and written by Lena Waithe and James Frey. The film stars Daniel Kaluuya. It will be released on November 27, 2019 by Universal Pictures.

Production[edit]

On July 19, 2018, it was announced that the production company Makeready won the bidding war to co-finance the drama thriller film Queen & Slim along with 3BLACKDOT, scripted by Lena Waithe from an original idea by James Frey, which would star Daniel Kaluuya and directed by Melina Matsoukas. Producers would Waithe for Hillman Grad Productions, Matsoukas for De La Revolución Films, Frey for 3BLACKDOT, along with Andrew Coles and Michelle Knudsen.^[1]

Release[edit]

Queen & Slim is scheduled to be released in North America on November 27, 2019 by Universal Pictures.^[1]
