Queer Armorer
Queer Armorer is the channel name of Finely Smith, a firearm educator and animator. They have created videos on Firearm tactics, community defense, LGBT issues and media analysis (in particular media and gender-related) since 2020.[1] Prior to that, they were an EMT and served as a street medic volunteer at protests, and trained Community Defense groups. [2]
Work:
In 2020, Smith created Rainbow Reload, an organization that helps queer people train with firearms in New Hampshire. They lead small beginner-oriented range days during trips into wooded areas in NH.[3] Tucker Carlson called out the activity as "disgusting" and referred to Smith as a "domestic terrorist" during a critique of the group. [4] Charlie Kirk referred to Fin as "Antifa and the Trans Mafia" and implied that they were responsible for the destruction of the country's morals. [5]
Later that year, the Queer Armorer channel grew out of a want to have queer-oriented firearms content that was accessible to beginners.[6]
They created a version of the top rail for the FGC-9 for use in Myanmar by rebels fighting with limited access to optics in the Myanmar civil war; however, its use was limited as another team from Deterrence Dispensed developed printable iron sights that allowed for more flexibility.[7]
In 2025, they appeared in a podcast with Alana McLaughlin discussing the A24 movie Civil War (film).[8]
