Quiriquire is the capital of the municipality of Punceres in the state of Monagas in Venezuela. In 2006, PDVSA and Repsol formed the company Petroquiriquire, in order to increase oil production.[1]
Economy
One of the main activities is petroleum exploitation in the Quiriquire oil field.

The typical cuisine is the arepa made with corn.
