Rödl & Partner is a professional services firm of German origin with headquarters in Nuremberg. Services are rendered by attorneys, tax advisers, auditors and management consultants. The firm has 4,500 employees and is present with 108 own offices in 50 countries.[1]
History[edit]
After the founding of the firm by attorney, tax adviser and auditor Bernd Rödl in 1977 in Nuremberg, offices were opened in Hof and Munich. With the fall of the Berlin Wall, the firm expanded into the former German Democratic Republic. From 1989 onwards, the firm became active worldwide with the opening of international offices. Rödl & Partner initially expanded into Central and Eastern Europe, followed by Asia and Western Europe. In 2000, the acquisition of the US tax advisory and auditing firm Langford de Kock took place.[2] In 2005, the first office was opened in South America, in São Paulo, Brazil. 2008 saw the opening of the first office in Johannesburg, South Africa.[1] The founder of the firm, Bernd Rödl, passed away on November 9, 2015.[3]
