RAF morecambe
Script error: No such module "AfC submission catcheck". Royal Air Force Morecambe, also known as RAF Morecambe, was established as a training base at the end of 1939. It was situated on the West Coast of England, and believed to be in a safe area.
Occupants of the station changed over time and these comprised mainly of training units -

volunteered and another 33,932 were called up; of these 36% went through RAF Morecambe)
No.2 Personnel Dispatch Centre 25th February 1943. 5th January 1946 (Previously No.6 Recruiting Centre, Wilmslow No.1 Personnel Holding Unit. 17th January 1944. Unknown Air Crew Training Wing (Polish). 21st February 194. 14th November 1945 Transport Command Aircrew Holding Section. 1st October 1944. Unknown No.61 Maintenance Unit (Sub-site). 1947. 13th July 1949
