RETAL Industries Ltd, is a global plastic packaging manufacturer that produces Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and rPET (recycled polyethylene terephthalate) packaging for global food and beverage brands. The company employs over 1500 people across 20 facilities in Europe, Russia and the US.

Production[edit]

PET can be widely recycled, with the recycled PET commonly referred to as rPET.[1] RETAL produces packaging from up to 100% rPET.

RETAL makes containers, preforms, closures and films using techniques such as injection molding (a process where the plastic is put through a heated barrel and injected into a mold that has been shaped for the desired tool or product[2] and extrusion (where a softened plastic is put through a metal profile in order to form a ribbon of the same product.[3]

RETAL is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 22000 accredited. Parent company RETAL Industries Ltd, whose president is Anatoly Martynov, is headquartered in Limassol, Cyprus. RETAL's largest facility is in Klaipeda, Lithuania, where the company has installed the largest solar panel roof in the whole of the Baltic States[4] with the support of EU funding.
