Founders[edit]
RIGHTEOUS Hemp Co was founded in 2022 by entrepreneur and healthcare professional Nathaniel Willis. RIGHTEOUS Hemp Co was birthed out of his graduate school class at the University of South Florida Muma College of Business while studying Entrepreneurship and Applied Technologies. Nathaniel Willis is the son of preacher and a teacher and has a passion for sharing the good news and educating individuals about how God created their body with an Endocannabinoid System (ECS) and the power and healing of CBD. Nathaniel was raised on a former hemp farm in Shelbyville, KY. Kentucky leads the nation in growing and processing this versatile crop as its soil is perfect for its healthy growth.[1]. One day Nathaniel aspires to grow Hemp on his Fathers Hempridge Road Farm.
The RIGHTEOUS Family was formed when Nathaniel approached a former classmate of his from the University of South Florida, Jamie Murphy. Jamie is a University of South Florida Alum with her Bachelors and Master's Degrees in Marketing. Jamie stepped into the role of Chief Marketing Officer and Co-founder.
In May 2023, Nathaniel competed and won first place in the Ken Hamner Business Plan competition at the University of South Florida.

RIGHTEOUS Hemp Co launched with three initial gummy products: Righteous START, Righteous THC and Righteous SLEEP.
Righteous START is an energy gummy that contains (Cannabigerol (CBG)) + B12. CBG, often referred to by experts as “the mother of all cannabinoids,” is the cannabinoid from which other types of cannabinoids (including CBD) are derived, says Michelle Sexton, a naturopathic doctor who works at the Pain Trauma Institute in San Diego. “CBG is the first compound in the biosynthesis (the production of chemical compounds by a living organism) of the other cannabinoids,” she adds.[2]
Righteous THC is a gummy that contains Delta-9 THC. Delta-9 is a chemical in cannabis and hemp plants. THC or Tetrahydrocannabinol is the major psychoactive component and one of the 113 cannabinoids recognized in cannabis.[3]
Righteous SLEEP is a gummy that contains CBD and Melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone in your body that plays a role in sleep. The production and release of melatonin in the brain is connected to time of day, increasing when it's dark and decreasing when it's light. Melatonin production declines with age.[4]
