RMZ Corp is a privately-owned real estate development company with its corporate office in Bengaluru, India. Incorporated in 2002 by siblings Raj & Manoj Menda[2]. The company operates in Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai & Pune.[3].

History[edit]

Arjun Menda, Group Chairman of RMZ Corp transitioned from the Manufacturing to the Real Estate industry. In 2002, along with his sons, Raj and Manoj Menda founded RMZ Corp.[2].

The company entered into the housing business in 2011 under the brand RMZHomes. In 2016 it switched to commercial real estate[4].

In 2013, the Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) Sovereign Wealth Fund invested $300 million in RMZ Corp with a stake of 21%.[5] RMZ Corp raised $500 million in the second round of funding in 2016[6]. In 2018, RMZ Corp struck a nearly $1 billion deal to buy back shares from Qatar Investment Authority[7][8].

Subsidiaries[edit]

In 2016, CoWrks, a coworking company was started by Siddharth Menda, son of Raj Menda[9]. CoWrks largest space is the 1.7 lakh sq ft office at RMZ Ecoworld, a commercial complex in Bengaluru’s Bellandur IT hub[10]
