RS PRAVEEN KUMAR (Repalle Shiva Praveen Kumar) is an IPS ( Indian Police Service ) officer of the 1995 batch, India. Dr Praveen Kumar is widely known as the brain behind the success story of the Everest conquerors Malavath Purna and Sandhanapalli Anand Kumar. Malavath Purna, a 13-year-old tribal student from Nizamabad district in Telangana state, created a spine-tingling history on 25th May, 2014 by becoming the youngest girl in the world to scale the Mount Everest, and Anand Kumar is the first boy from APSWREIS to scale Mount Everest. Early life
Dr. Praveen Kumar was born on 23 November 1967 in a remote village, Alampur near nallamala forest to parents who were both teachers by profession. He is a vet by education, he completed his masters in veterinary sciences from the then Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University, Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad. He also holds the prestigious Master in Public Administration from Harvard University and Edward.S. Mason fellow. [13][12][14]
