RUCK.co.uk is described as a website dedicated to providing the latest news, viral videos and discussion for rugby union fans of all nationalities.[1]
It is regarded as one of the best rugby websites in the United Kingdom.[2] It provides up-to-date news items from the Gallagher Premiership, Guinness PRO14, Guinness Six Nations, Super Rugby and the Rugby World Cup.
Founded in August 2015 by co-founders Chris Phillips and Gary Taylor, RUCK focuses on publishing easily shareable, entertaining pictures, articles and videos aimed at an engaged audience. Editor-In-Chief Steven Smith, who studied for a Sports Journalism degree at UCLan, joined the team as a content specialist in September 2015 before moving up to his current role in May 2016.
The RUCK.co.uk Facebook page now has in excess of 140,000 followers,[3] making it one of the largest rugby union communities on Facebook.
Partnerships
Starting in February 2019, they have run multiple competitions with rugby sportswear specialists Canterbury while also having giveaways with Cotton Traders [4], SRG Elite Sportswear[5] and Heineken[6].
They have also worked with Harlequins and Wasps to assist in generating ticket sales through display advertising.
