Rachel Weber née Wilcocks (fl. 1755 - 89) was an Irish organ builder, harpsichord and pianoforte maker, from Dundalk.[1]
She married Ferdinand Weber on 31 May, 1755 and they lived in Dublin with their two children.[1] Ferdinand was a harpsichord and organ maker, mending and tuning organs in Dublin.[2] Rachel assisted him in his work and succeeded the business at 75 Marlborough Street for three years after his death (1784) with the help of their older son, Thomas.[3] Since taking over the business she maintained the organ at Trinity College Dublin Chapel between 1784-87.[4]
