Radiology Cafe is an educational web resource which provides junior doctors with advice on applying to clinical radiology training in the United Kingdom and resources for radiology trainees.[1]
The site contains information regarding the UK radiology application process, guidance for trainees taking the FRCR examinations and teaching resources for medical students.
Background[edit]
Radiology Cafe was founded in 2011 using a WYSIWYG editor, but since 2014 runs on Joomla!, a free and open-source content management system (CMS).[2] There are various editors, article and blog contributors.
In February 2017, 16 mock FRCR anatomy examinations were uploaded, with a further two uploaded in 2018. In April 2017, all of the articles from FRCR Physics notes (a Google Site) were transferred to Radiology Cafe.[3] In October 2017 the iBook, Radiology Basics: Cross-sectional Imaging, was reproduced on Radiology Cafe as an interactive webpage.[4][5]
