Raed Faisal Alhuwaizi (Arabic: رائد فيصل الحويزي) (Born in 1968, in Baghdad), is a well-known dentist in Iraq[1]. He comes from a family that specializes in medicine. He graduated from Al-Mansour High School in Baghdad Iraq class of 1985. After that, he graduated from the University of Baghdad with a bachelor's degree in dentistry and dental surgery in 1991. He got a high diploma in Community Dentistry in 1995 and a M.A. in Preventive Dentistry.[2]
Life, Career, and Death[edit]
Raed earned his fame by writing numerous books and researches that have been proven helpful to students and lecturers.[3] He also held numerous sensitive positions at the University of Kufa (UOK).
He was first promoted from a lecturer to the head of Pediatric dentistry, orthodontics and preventive medicine branch in the UOK, and he became the Director of the Health Specialist Preventive Dental Center in Najaf (1995-1998) and Baghdad (1998-2001). He was known for his professionalism in dentistry which enabled him to be continuously promoted and hold important medical position that served him to provide help and led him to be well-known by many people and authorities[2]. He died in 2020 due to COVID-19 virus in Iraq.[4][5]

Raed participated in many workshops and courses throughout his life, either as a trainer or as a trainee. Most of his workshops were regarding the use of modern technology in the medical field by leading countries and it can be used, most notable workshops were[10]

- Participated in a workshop entitled (Standards for the outputs of the College of Dentistry required in the labor market) at the College of Dentistry - University of Kufa for the period from (23-24 / 3/2011).
- He was delegated by the University of Kufa - College of Dentistry to Erbil - to attend the Book Fair (4/6/2011).
- Participated in a course (periodontal disease) at the College of Dentistry / University of Kufa for the period (10-14 / 4/2011).
- Participated in the course (Cosmetic Dentistry with New Technologies) at the College of Dentistry / University of Kufa for the period (25-29 / 9/2011).
- Supervisor and lecturer for a course (prevention of oral and dental diseases) at the College of Dentistry / University of Kufa for the period (9-13 / 10/2011)
- Participated in the workshop entitled (The Syllabus and its Importance) at the College of Dentistry / University of Kufa for the period (12/12/2011).
- Participated in the workshop entitled (behavioral goals) at the College of Dentistry / University of Kufa for the period (12/14/2011).[2]
