Raffaele Buranelli (born November 9, 1968, in Rome) is an Italian actor.[1]
Biography[edit]
Raffaele Buranelli was born in 1968 in Rome. He graduated with laurea in DAMS (Italian: discipline delle arti, della musica e dello spettacolo) with a focus on film and television directing. He later completed the specialized program in historical, critical, and theoretical studies on cinema and audiovisuals at the Roma Tre University. He attended workshops in film criticism with Mario Sesti, screenwriting with Luca Vendruscolo, documentary filmmaking with Gianfranco Pannone, direction with Daniele Luchetti, and comedic theater with Lucia Poli at the Teatro Argentina in Rome. Additionally, he participated in workshops on editing and dubbing.[1]
In 1987, he debuted in the TV miniseries Due fratelli, directed by Alberto Lattuada. In 1990, he appeared for the first time on movie screens with the American production Captain America, directed by Albert Pyun. In theater, he made his debut in 1992 with a play The Clouds by Aristophanes. Between 1998 and 2002, he starred in 16 advertising campaigns, including those with worldwide distribution (one directed by Michel Gondry).[2][3][4]
His television works include: Sei forte maestro 2, Un posto al sole, Il bello delle donne, Incantesimo 5-6, and Boris. In the summer of 2007 he joined the cast of the Canale 5 soap opera, Vivere.[3][5]
From 2008 he focused on production of short films and documentaries, including Farfallina , written and directed by Karin Proia, and Salomè - Una storia , for which he also credited with the screenplay and direction. In 2017, he produced Karin Proia's film Una gita a Roma , starring Claudia Cardinale and Philippe Leroy with music by Nicola Piovani.[1]

He married actress Karin Proia in 2002. The have one daughter.[3][1]
