Chhattisgarh Library Association
The Chhattisgarh Library Association (CGLA) was established on December 13, 2012. It was officially registered on February 13, 2024, under the Chhattisgarh Societies Registration Act, 1973, with Vide No. 122202456077/2024. The initiative was primarily driven by the personal enthusiasm of Dr. Kundan Jha, who dedicated his life to the growth and development of public libraries in Chhattisgarh State. Dr. Kundan Jha is recognized as the Father of the Public Library Movement in Chhattisgarh State due to his significant contributions. He is also the founder member and the first President of the Chhattisgarh Library Association.
