B S Srinath  (born 23  January 1950 ) is an Indian Senior Consultant in Surgical Oncology. After graduating from JJM Medical College, Davanagere, Mysore India, he went on to practice at New PGIMER Chandigarh in 1976. He joined FRCS in Edinburgh in 1981 at the Royal College of Surgeons UK simultaneously FRCS (Glasgow) 1981 Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow, UK. In India, he started Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation in 2012. He serves as the Head of the Institution and Senior Consulting Surgeon at the Hospital. He has performed over 60,000 surgeries, has received numerous awards, including the Recipient of ORS Award (1982) from The Department of Education, Her Majesty’s Government of UK for Research in Immunity, Cancer, and Nutrition, and Karnataka Rajyotsava award in 2020

In 1971 Dr. Srinath got admission to JJM Medical College Davanagere University of Mysore Karnataka India. In 1976 joined MS in General Surgery at PGIMER Chandigarh. He moved to the UK in 1981 to join FRCS from Edinburgh and Glasgow simultaneously. Srinath is the founder, Head of the institution Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital & Research center (SSCHRC) started in the year 2012. From 1983-86 he was the Honorary Assistant Surgeon Kidwai Institute of Oncology, 1986-91 Assistant Professor Surgery MS Ramaiah Medical College & Hospital, 1992-2004 Consultant Surgical Oncologist & Managing Director Bangalore Institute of Oncology. 2004-2010- Consultant Surgical Oncologist Healthcare Global (HCG), 2010-2013- Senior Consultant Surgical Oncology Ranagadorai medical hospital Biography His wife is a housewife and has two children one daughter one son. He comes from a small village in Shivamogga called Bhadravati in Karnataka. Honors Recipient of ORS Award (1982) from The Department of Education, Her Majesty’s Government of UK for Research in Immunity, Cancer, and Nutrition Karnataka Rajyotsava Award in the medical category in 2020
