M Rajeev is a journalist, Executive Editor of Kairali-People TV(Malayalam Communications Ltd.).He was born on may 1,1977 in Edapal, Malappuram district.
Education[edit]
After primary education in a nearby school, he attended high school at Government High School, Edapal. He went to MES College (Ponnani) in Malappuram for his pre-degree. He had his bachelor's degree in English from Sreekrishna College, Guruvayur and the bachelor of education degree in English from Markaz Training College, Malappuram. He also studied for his Law degree from Kerala Law Academy Law College, Trivandrum. He also took his post-graduate diploma in Journalism and Mass communication from Institute of Communication and Journalism, Calicut.
Career[edit]
M. Rajeev started his career in Kairali TV as a trainee journalist.He is with Kairali TV since 2000.He was the part of the team who did the first sting operation in Kerala Television in February 2006.CNN-IBN termed this sting operation as 'first of its kind by local channel'("After the CNN-IBN sting operation on corrupt UP MLAs, another news channel carried out a similar exposé on a bribe-taking engineer.The sting carried out by Kerala's Kairali TV is first of its kind by a local channel"-CNN-IBN reported in 2006.) He produced and anchored various programs like Samakalikam, Idapedal, Crime Story etc.He is the show director of the program JB Junction and Njan Malayali anchored by Kairali TV Managing Director John Brittas.He is the editor of Ente Kathoppukal(A book on Oscar Award winner Rasool Pookutty), Sitaram Yechury Interviews(A book on interviews of Com.Sitaram Yechury, All India General Secretary, CPIM, Aksharangalude Sultan(A book on the sovereign ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah, Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi)
