Rajendra Singh Shekhawat is a Bharatiya Janata Party politician, who is presently the State Convener of Enlightenment Cell(Prabbudh Jan Prakosth) of Rajasthan.He is also an Independent Director of Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL),which is one of India's manufacturers of ammunitions and missile systems.
Early life and education
He is the son of Shri Bishan Singh Shekhawat(बिशन सिंह शेखावत),who was born in Khachariawas Village of Sikar in Rajasthan.Shri Bishan Singh Shekhawat was a great educator,leader and younger brother of 11th vice president of India Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat.
He has done his education from Maharaja College of Jaipur and from Rajasthan University.
Rajendra Singh Shekhawat is a retired Police Officer.He was Additional Superintendent of Police in Anti-Corruption Bureau.He has taken Voluntary Rentirement from his service before 7years to join politics and for other social services.
Awards
1.He has received "President Police Medal" from our then President of India Shri A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.In year 1998,he was awarded with Police Medal by then Governor Shri Anshuman Singh.
3.He was also awarded by Cheif Minister of Rajasthan(Vasundhara Raje Ji)for making Vidhyakpuri police station of Jaipur as North India's) first ISO- 9001-2000 certified police station
