Rajesh Kumar Dahiya is an Indian corporate governance advisor, board member, and ESG strategist. He is the founder and CEO of GoodGovern, a consulting firm specializing in governance, sustainability, and leadership transformation. He currently serves as Chief Governance Officer at Oren, following its acquisition of GoodGovern in 2025. Dahiya is known for his three-decade career in financial services and corporate strategy across the Tata Group and Axis Bank.
Early life and education
Dahiya was born in Munda Mazra, Yamuna Nagar, Haryana, India, and grew up in a rural setting. He holds a Master’s degree in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations from the Panjab University. He is an Engineering Graduate from R. V. College of Engineering, Bangalore University, and had his early education in Haryana and D.A.V. institutes in Chandigarh.
Career
Tata Group (1990–2010)
Dahiya held senior roles at Tata Global Beverages, where he led global supply chain integration and partnered with Pepsi India for vitamin-infused water. At Tata Sons, he oversaw new business incubation across realty, hospitality, NBFC, BPO, and retail sectors. As Head of Tata Administrative Services (TAS), he managed global academic partnerships with leading institutions. He also worked at Rallis India in manufacturing, HR, institutional sales, and exports.
Axis Bank (2010–2021)
Dahiya joined Axis Bank in 2010 as President – HR, was promoted to Group Executive – Corporate Centre, and became Executive Director in 2016. He led multiple corporate functions, including governance, compliance, sustainability, HR, legal, CSR, and internal audit. Key initiatives include:
- Launch of the #ComeAsYouAre LGBTQIA+ inclusion charter
- Introduction of Gig-a-Opportunities remote work program
He served on the boards of Axis Bank Ltd, Axis Trustee Services Ltd, Axis Finance Ltd, and Axis Private Equity.
GoodGovern and Oren (2022–Present)
In 2022, Dahiya founded GoodGovern, a boutique advisory firm for board evaluations and ESG. In June 2025, GoodGovern was acquired by ESG tech platform Oren, where he now serves as Chief Governance Officer.
