Research and Development
Rajesh Shah was a principal investigator in a research on the possible use of homeopathic medicine to treat malaria, where in the pre-clinical studies anti-malarial efficacy was demonstrated. The research was conducted in the Department of Clinical Pharmacology at Nair Hospital in Mumbai.[2]
He has done a five-year long study in which he developed a new homeopathic medicine called HIV Nosode sourced from human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).[3][4][5] This is the first of its kind medicine prepared from the HIV virus which has demonstrated improvement of CD4 count in a pilot study.[6][7]
In another research, Rajesh Shah teamed up with the scientists at Haffkine Institute to develop a new drug sourced from Mycobacterium Tuberculosis organisms.[8] This research recognized Shah as an Independent researcher by the Ministry of AYUSH in New Delhi on 10th April 2018.[9]
Rajesh Shah has also conducted a research on the effectiveness of homeopathic preparations in an animal model at the Institute of Chemical Technology, formerly called the University Department of Chemical Technology.[10]
