Raleigh
Raleigh Bowman; is an American politician running for U.S. Congress for Illinois' 5th congressional district since 2020. The district includes eastern parts of Chicago more notably Lakeview, portions of north west Chicago, and Dupage county.[1] He is a member of the Democratic Party and is currently the only member of the party running for Illinois' 5th district. [2] Raleigh Bowman became an official candidate with the FEC and the United States Congress in December of 2020 [3] Raleigh Bowman is a progressive democrat and actively advocates for Medicare for All, A Green New Deal, Mental Health, a $15 Minimum wage, and economic/social justice reforms. [4] Raleigh Bowman grew up advocating and working to build a better future for all and has experienced first-hand loss and the failures within the political party and healthcare system. [5]
