Ramesh Natarajan
Ramesh Natarajan is a Vedic scholar and teacher from Mississauga, Canada. He is the founder of GRD Iyers Gurucool..[1] which is an online gurukula that imparts knowledge about the Vedas and many different scriptures of the Hindu religion. He is also the creator of the GRD Iyers Gurucool Youtube channel[1] with more than 38,000 subscribers. The videos on his Youtube channel have more than 5 million views.
Early Life and Education
Ramesh Natarajan completed his schooling and college education in Kolkata (India). He went on to become a Cost Accountant and completed the ICWA course from India. Later, he completed his MBA from Edinburgh Business School. Further, he is also a qualified CPA (USA), CMA (USA), CFM (USA), ACCA (UK), and CGA (Canada). He is married to Sridevi Gayathri, who is an IT professional[2]
Vedic Studies and Gurukula
Ramesh Natarajan started his own gurukula out of his home in Mississauga, Canada, with the help of his wife. He is an ardent believer in gender equality and, breaking conservative traditional norms, he has always encouraged women to receive Vedic knowledge. He started teaching the Vedas online through his Youtube channel in 2007. All his lectures and classes (both online and offline) are free of cost. For his contributions to the field of Vedic chanting, he was awarded the prestigious Trikandiyur Achyuta Pisharadi Award conducted by the Oral History and Research Foundation in 2021[3][4][5][6]
