Katarzyna Alina Okońska known by her stage name as Ramona Rey is a Polish singer-songwriter. Her music is mainly of pop and electronic genres, and infuses her training in opera into her work.
Background
Katarzyna grew up in Gryfice and later attended music school in Gdańsk where she studied opera.[1]
History
In 2005, she released her first single Zanim słońce wstanie (Before the Sun Rises), and later it became a part of her debut self-titled album Ramona Rey in 2006, both published under Sony BMG.[2] In 2009 she released her second album titled Ramona Rey 2 under Arana Records to the praise of critics.[3][4] In 2011 she released her 3rd album as Ramona Rey 3 with Arana Records and EMI Music Poland.[5]. In 2017 following her album naming trend she released Ramona Rey 4, and departed slightly from the pop style of her previous works.[6][7] Ramona has released several music videos since the beginning of her career. Along with her 2017 4th album she released the dual video Kim Być / Seneka which addressed the topic of homosexuality during World War 2.[8]
