From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Ran Namerode is an Israeli-American businessman, the owner and CEO of the international Redworth Capital Group [1]. Redworth is an investment group that operates in various fields, including medical devices and technology, real estate, entertainment, and more. The group’s offices and activities are located in Israel, the US, and the UK.

Background and History

Namerode was born in 1967 in Rishon LeZion, Israel, where he grew up. He served in the IDF as an officer in an intelligence unit and was discharged as a captain. Following his military service, he studied law and accounting at Tel Aviv University and was in the first class in Israel that permitted the studying of these two degrees simultaneously. During this time, Namerode specialized in international taxation, and wrote several articles on the topic, which were published in leading magazines in the taxation field in Israel.[2]

In 1995, after completing his apprenticeship in both fields, and receiving his law and accounting degrees, Namerode transitioned to business. He first served as the personal assistant of Dan Proper, the CEO of Ossem (Nestle Israel) and president of the Manufacturers Association of Israel at the time. At this time Namerode also served as vice president of the Israel-Jordan Chamber of Commerce. After this, Namerode joined the Kardan Investment Group and was appointed the CEO of the international fast-food chain Sbarro in Israel.

In 1999, Namerode moved to manage the trade unit of Kardan – a group that included 11 companies, and almost 1000 employees, and operated in Israel in several fields, including food, computers, fashion, and sports. Among the companies that were members are Rousson (Nike Israel), electronics chain BUG, Olivia food factory, and others.

In 2002, Namerode completed his MBA in the Kellogg-Recanati International Executive MBA program. In that same year, Namerode entered the private business sector and established KNR, a company that operated in Serbia following the Yugoslavian civil war. KNR’s activities included the establishment of the first English language newspaper in Serbia, the Belgrade New Times, as well as real estate, privatization, water purification, medical devices, a clothing store chain, and others.

In 2004, Namerode acquired the medical device company Mennen Medical from Charterhouse Bank, which he owns and serves as its chairman to this day.[3] Mennen Medical was established in 1963 for monitoring the life signals of astronauts in space, and for this, the company earned a spot in the NASA hall of fame.[4] Since being acquired by Namerode, Mennen Medical has acquired several additional medical device companies, in the fields of cardiology, intensive care, operation rooms, and NICUs. The R&D center of the company is located in Yavne, Israel, from which the company exports medical devices to over 80 countries worldwide. The company’s offices are located in Israel, the US, and the UK.

In 2018, Mennen Medical sold one of its companies – MTRE Advanced Technologies – which had the leading technology in the world in its field, to an American company owned by one of the largest private equities in the US.[5] In the same year, the technology developed by one of the companies of the group, Cardioscale, won first place in a competition held by the US DOD, the Israeli Ministry of Defense, and the MIT forum, out of hundreds of technology start-up companies all over the world, in the field of the fight against terror.[6] Several months later, this technology won first place out of over 500 companies, in the Conference of European Rabbis greeted by French Technology Minister.
