Randy James Walsch (March 10, 1965 – September 3, 2008) best known as Randy Walsch was an American professional wrestler, debuting in World Championship Wrestling a.k.a. WCW in 1985 under the ring name Sexy Slider and signing in World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1989. Professional wrestling career
Training Sessions (1983 – 1984)
At the beginning, Randy started training sessions with Arnie Osborne. One of Randy's school friends helped him with wrestling training, so he told Randy about Arnie.
In 1983, he started with basic, easy matches against cooperators of Arnie's training club in Lahaina, Hawaii.
In 1984, Randy had his first match against a special guest, and in late 1984 Randy had his first tag team match as Arnie wanted to test his skills, and Randy won both of them.
World Championship Wrestling (1985 – 1988)
After Randy was ready enough to compete against serious wrestlers, he told Arnie about WCW. Randy got lucky because Arnie had some relations in WCW and he talked with Vince McMahon about signing with WCW. Vince reviewed his training sessions, and he accepted Randy immediately after the review was completed. Randy chose to go under the ring name Sexy Slider.
In the first year, Randy had easy matches against other debuters like him. He had several tag-team matches in late 1985, alongside Sting and many others.
In March 1986, Randy had a Last Man Standing match against Mike Rotunda and Randy got seriously injured and had to take a break of 3 months. He came back in June 1986 by attacking a debuter backstage.
In the beginning of 1987, Randy had his first ladder match against Sting but Randy lost it. In July 1987, Randy got again injured because of a backstage brutal attack with Owen Hart.
In 1988, Randy decided to leave WCW because he got a better offer to WWF but that offer had to be completed with Vince’s permission. Randy also took a break of 6 months from wrestling due to family issues.
World Wrestling Federation (1989 – 1993)
After Randy's family issues got solved, he talked with Vince McMahon about signing to WWF. He signed in May 1989 and in June, he debuted under the ring name Randy Walsch by being on the fans’ side, but nobody knew he was disguised. He attacked Greg Valentine from behind with a chair and then Randy ran from the stage.
In July 1989, he had his first one-on-one match in WWF against Bad News Brown and Randy won it. Randy had several one-on-one matches. Some were lost, and some were won.
In November 1989, on the day Randy had to wrestle, his mother passed away due to unknown causes. Randy was very sad and stressed because of his mother's death, so he talked with Vince to cancel that planned match. But Vince didn't agree due to the pay-per-view show.
In March 1990, Randy won his first championship, the WWF Intercontinental Championship against Mr. Perfect[disambiguation needed] and held the title for about 81 days. Randy had a match after 81 days against Kerry Von Erich and Randy lost the title to him.
In late 1990, Randy had some problems with Vince about Randy's contract so Randy decided to take a break of a few months from wrestling.
In January 1991, Randy participated in the Royal Rumble pay-per-view episode where he was seen in a promo about his opinion of who would win the Royal Rumble.
In May 1991 Randy and Jackson Den won the WWF World Tag Team Championship against Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart and held the title for 102 days. After 102 days, at the PPV show, Randy and Jackson had a match against Road Warrior Hawk and Road Warrior Animal and Randy and Jackson lost the titles.
In December 1991, Randy attacked Vince McMahon while he was at the commentary table, but this was part of the script.
In February 1993, Vince released Randy from WWF, as it was Randy's decision too.
New Japan Pro Wrestling (2005 – 2006)
After years of break from wrestling, Randy went to Japan for NJPW promotion as he talked with his friend Arnie about signing there for a year. He talked with Bushiroad company about signing in 2005 and they agreed. Randy chose to go under the ring name The Precious.
In June 2005, Randy debuted in NJPW by being under the ring for half the time of that match, and then he came out by attacking a debuter brutally.
In December 2005, Randy won a 10-man battle royal for No.1 contender against Jay White at a ladder match. The next week, Randy faced Jay White in a ladder match, but Randy lost.
In May 2006, Randy decided to leave NJPW because of health problems.

In May 2006, Randy saw that his health issues started getting worse, so he went to the hospital and was diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy. The doctors told Randy that steroid use was the cause of this disease.

On August 6, 2008, Randy was hospitalized immediately due to an illness caused by his disease.
On September 3, 2008, Randy passed away at Kuakini Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Many NJPW and WWF wrestlers sent their condolences to his family. Randy's body was buried at Maluhia Cemetery on September 8, 2008.
Family
Randy had a wife (Adria Walsch) and one child (Austin). Randy's mother passed away in November 1989 and his father in June 2013. Randy's son, Austin, is also a wrestler, but Austin is currently in a small promotion.
Early life
Randy was born in a small village in Lahaina, Hawaii on March 10, 1965. His father was Ernie Walsch, and his mother was Shallot Walsch. His parents were poor, so Randy went to a private school around his village.
Randy's school life wasn't that good due to bullying problems and bad teachers. When he was in 7th grade, he attacked two of his school mates because they were bullying him in front of the teacher. He had more problems like this, so his parents decided to move him to another school in 8th grade.
Randy graduated from Lahainaluna High School but was focused more on wrestling.
After his high school years, he graduated from Nathalie Mullinix Realty University until he started his training sessions for wrestling in late 1983.
