Ranger In Time is a Adventure fiction book series written by Kate Messner. The Books are published by Scholastic. Ranger In Time is a Continuous series, meaning that no plans are made to be terminated, and won’t for a long time.[1]
Premise
Ranger (the main character) is a Time-travelling search and rescue Golden Retriever. He hasn’t officially become a Search and rescue dog, as he has trouble passing the test, as he gets distracted by Squirrels. One day, he finds a mysterious First aid kit whilst digging in the Garden. This magical first-aid kit transports Ranger into a random point in History. While he’s there, he helps and rescues a Child.[2][3]

Ranger finds himself back in 900ce; during the viking period. He meets Helga; a young woman who was separated from her family due to a Volcanic eruption. Ranger also meets a small arctic fox, and goes unnamed for the rest of the book. Ranger helps the arctic fox, and Helga reunite with their families.[7]

Book fairs are an exhibit of books from certain Publishers to display the books they’ve published. These book fairs are normally ran by the Scholastic corporation. Ranger In Time is published by Scholastic, so Ranger In Time books are sold at book fairs. These events are important to Schools; as it gives them a source of Financial aid. In return, Teachers have to show previews for upcoming books, so kids will get excited for the upcoming books.[46]
For toyetic reasons; Ranger is the main focus for previews of the Ranger In Time previews. Instead of focusing on the Plot or setting; the goal of the previews for Ranger In Time is to show Ranger as much as possible. The more Ranger is shown; the more the aw factor.[46]
