Rara Sekar Larasati (born Bandung) is a musician, singer, songwriter, and an activist who was born in Indonesia. Rara is an ex member of the music group Banda Neira with Ananda Badudu. She once studied Culture Anthropology from University of Wellington, New Zealand.[1]

Rara Sekar and her sister Isyana Sarasvati have been raised at Leuven, Belgium in which she spent her first three years of elementary school in Mater Dei Lagere School. After coming back to her country, Indonesia, she continued elementary school in, Bandung, West Java. Then after graduating she continued high school di SMA Negeri 3 Bandung.
Rara stated that she had followed many English speech competitions and English debate that she continued until High school until when she was in university. Excelling academically and have a deep sense in understanding multiple languages, Rara got many scholarships from various countries in the world. Rara has studied in San Diego, United States as an exchange student in high school. While pursuing her bachelor degree, she also got a scholarship from an university in Turkey. She’s also a polyglot since she could communicate in many languages like her mother tongue {Indonesian} , English, Dutch, French dan Spanish.
