Rashad Aslam
Rashad Aslam is a British attorney and author[1] specializing in International Human Rights Law. He is frequently interviewed by international media for his analysis on high profile cases such as the execution of Kulbhushan Jadhav, murder of Imran Farooq, money laundering investigation of Malik Riaz and extradition of the ex-prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif[2].
Legal Career[edit]
Rashad Aslam has been admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in October 2008. He has been Called to the Bar as a Barrister in October 2012. he is also a member of Law Society of England and Wales[3] and The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. He is also the Managing Director of a private consultancy practice, named Adam Bernard Solicitors.[4] He is also the President of International Lawyers Association, appointed in July 2021.
International Human Rights Expertise[edit]
Mr Aslam is actively engaged in providing advice for Human Rights, International law, Immigration, Civil Litigation and Employment matters. Specifically, Mr Aslam is knowledgeable in the recent developments from Brexit and how it will impact our personal lives. Mr. Aslam has visited European cities such as Barcelona, Spain and Verona, Italy where he has held conferences and events to advise citizens on the changes to free movement on 31st December 2020 and various human rights matters that are prominent when dealing with the recent developments in UK-EU relationships.
Rashad Aslam was engaged in a notable Court of Appeal case of MA (Pakistan) and Ors v SSHD [2016] EWCA Civ 705 where the Court of Appeal considered when it is reasonable to remove a non-British child. Adam Bernard Solicitors has successfully ensured that the right of migrant children is given greater protection, whose interest should be the primary consideration for the Courts.
