Rasheq Rahman (Bengali: āϰāĻžāĻļ⧇āĻ• āϰāĻšāĻŽāĻžāύ) is a Bangladeshi author, a media personality, and a political analyst.[1][2] He is known for writing columns and books on political issues.[3] "Upakhyan" (Bengali: āωāĻĒāĻžāĻ–ā§āϝāĻžāύ), his first book, was published in 2021 at Amar Ekushey Boi Mela.[4]

Rasheq Rahman is also involved in politics. On 4 February 2021, he was selected as a member of the Central Publicity and Publication Sub-committee of the ruling party Bangladesh Awami League.[5]

Personal Life

Rasheq Rahman was born on 16th June 1977. His father, H.N. Ashequr Rahman, is the incumbent Member of Parliament from Rangpur-5.[6] His mother, Rehana Ashequr Rahman, is the editor of Kishore Bhuban (a juvenile Magazine).

In Bangladesh Post, Rasheq Rahman is regarded as a prominent business figure and political analyst in Bangladesh[1]. He is a sponsor of Meghna Bank LTD.[2]

On November 28, 2019, as the managing director of Buraq Commodities Exchange Co.[2], he got approval as a dealer from the Bangladesh Bank.[16]

Rasheq Rahman is also the managing director of GenVac (BD) Limited.[2]

Awards

In 2015, JCI Foundation Bangladesh awarded Rasheq Rahman for "JCI Ten Outstanding Young Persons".[17]
