RateHawk is an online B2B booking platform featuring hotels, car hire and related travel services. It was founded in 2016 and is owned and operated by Emerging Travel Group.[2]

The company was founded in 2016 and is part of Emerging Travel Group, which also owns Ostrovok.ru and ZenHotels.[3] In July 2019, it received the funding of $10 million by technology entrepreneur Lev Avnerovich Leviev and the family office of Igor and Dmitri Bukhman, co-founders of Playrix.[4]

The company launched its website in the Greek language in 2018 and started its operations in Greece in March 2019.[3] The company started operating in 21 new markets including France, Poland, Turkey and the United Kingdom in 2018.[4] As of March 2019, it has an inventory of over one million properties in over 220 countries worldwide.[1] RateHawk is into a partnership with Lufthansa City Center (LCC) since January 2018.[5]

The company launched its website in the Bulgarian, Greek, Hungarian, Romanian langauge[6] to cater to the Greek, Hungarian, Romanian and Bulgarian markets in August 2019.[2] The company had participated in ITB Berlin 2018[1] and Uzakrota Travel Summit held in Istanbul in 2019.[7]

Technology[edit]

RateHawk's mapping algorithms allow users to search and book hotels from different vendors and consolidators. RateHawk uses content prioritization systems, rate mixing mechanisms, various data structuring methods, advanced pricing and inventory management systems for different channels, points of sale and customer segments.[2][8] The platform is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian, German, Polish and Russian.[9][10][1]
