Ravi Srivatsaa is an Indian film director, also known for his story, screenplay, and dialogue writing, who predominantly works in Kannada Film Industry.[1] He is best known for directing action films, such as Deadly Soma (2005), Ganda Hendathi (2006), Ee Rajeev Gandhi Alla (2007), Madesha (2009), Deadly-2 (2010), Dashamukha (2012) and Tiger Galli (2018).[2][3][4][5][6]

Early life

Srivatsaa is a graduate of RV College Bangalore in Karnataka, India, after completing his school education at Vijaya High School in Bangalore, Karnataka.[citation needed] With the inspiration of his father, the late Srivatsaa Ranganath, Ravi Srivatsaa entered Kannada cinema as a script and dialogue writer for remarkable movies in the industry.[citation needed]

Early work

Srivatsa started his career as a writer for the Vishnuvardhan-starring film Hello Daddy in 1994, and from there on, he has written stories, screenplays, and dialogues for 48 films. Agni IPS, Jackie Chan, One Man Army, Central Jail, Dhairya, Kiccha, Sahukara, Law and Order, Yajamana, Kotigobba, Vishnu Priya, Lady Police, Lady Commissioner, Sye, Maanikya and others. In his 27-year film career, he considers himself fortunate to have spent nearly nine years working as a writer and co-director with legendary actor, performer, and hero Dr. Vishnuvardhan.[7][8][9][10]

As director

He started his directorial career with Deadly Soma in 2005 and went on to make seven films. Ganda Hendathi (2006), Ee Raajeev Gandhi Alla (2007), Madesha (2009), Deadly 2 (2010), Dashamukha (2012), Tiger Galli (2018), and is currently working on Deadly 3.[11][12][13]

He was associated with directors like Naganna, Om Prakash, Shivamani, D. Rajendra Babu, Kichcha Sudeep, K. Madhu (Malayalam), P. A. Arun Prasad (Telugu), P. N. Ramachandra Rao (Telugu), Saagar (Telugu), Uppalpati Narayana Rao (Telugu).
