Rayagada railway division is one of the three railway divisions under the jurisdiction of East Coast railway. The headquarters of this division is located at Rayagada, Odisha.[1][2][3]

The division was formed after bifurcating former Waltair railway division during the creation of South Coast Railway zone.[4][5]

The division demarkation is currently in-progress.[6]

History

  • In 2025, Rayagada railway division was formed by carving it out from the Waltair railway division.[7][8]
  • In 2025, EcOR has appointed Amitabh Singhal as the DRM of Rayagada railway division.[9]
