The attack[edit]
On the morning of the invasion, October 7, 2023, a nature party was held near Kibbutz Ra'im in the Gaza Strip. Around 6:30 in the morning, the terrorist organization Hamas launched a rocket attack on Israel, and at the same time, hundreds of terrorists infiltrated Israeli territory, some of whom arrived at the nature party where, according to estimates, over 3,000 people were at the time, a few kilometers away from the Gaza fence. The terrorists who arrived in vans and paragliders to the nature party, shot the party participants with small arms, RPG missiles and grenades, killing many of the party participants. In addition, a few of the participants were abducted to the Gaza Strip, many are defined as missing since the event. Among the murdered was the soccer player Lior Assulin.
In one of the videos distributed by the terrorists, one of the participants of the party, Noa Argamani [1] was kidnaped. Another, Shani Louk, a German citizen, was seen lying unconscious in the last part of a van displayed on the streets of Gaza, after the terrorists stripped her, beat her and spat on her [2].
Some of the party participants fled to the nearby forest, some to a nearby orange orchard and some to Moshav Petish in the Merhavim Regional Council.
A large part of the vehicles were set on fire by the terrorists.
